Ghostbusters afterlife: Everything you need to know

The film’s main ghost star is apparently named Harold White

What if the 1980s horror classic Ghostbusters was renamed Ghostbusters: Afterlife?

The answer appears to be: a lot more kids, a lot more fangs and a lot more nostalgia.

The new film promises to revive the spirit of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson, but no Spenglerian commandos, no director Ivan Reitman and no update on super-scary ghost Phog. Instead, we get a whole new generation of Ghostbusters thrown into the mix, put to the test by a real life ghost.

The film’s main ghost star is apparently named Harold White, who’s reportedly the Dan Aykroyd of the group. Also out of the shadows are characters who were the protagonists of the first film: Winston Zeddemore, Venkman and McCallister.

Will the team uncover real world evil and open our eyes to a demonic apocalypse? Or is it all just a delusion? You’ll have to decide for yourself when the movie is released on 27 October.
